Gandhian Society extend a warm invitation to you to attend the upcoming 'Gandhi Going Global' conference in New York City. This conference is being organized by the Gandhian Society, and will take place in September 2023 on the side-lines of the United Nations Annual General Assembly. The 'Gandhi Going Global’ conference is a unique opportunity for like-minded individuals and organizations to come together and discuss the relevance of Gandhi's teachings in today's world. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops, we will explore how Gandhi's philosophy of nonviolence, social justice, and environmental sustainability can guide us in addressing the most pressing issues of our time.

Mahatma Gandhi, also known as the 'Father of the Nation' in India, is widely regarded as one of the most significant figures of the 20th century. His philosophy of nonviolence, civil disobedience, and social justice inspired countless people around the world to fight for their rights and freedom. Today, Gandhi's legacy has transcended the boundaries of his home country and become a global phenomenon. His teachings have influenced and inspired people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. From Martin Luther King Jr. in the United States to Nelson Mandela in South Africa, many prominent leaders have acknowledged Gandhi as a source of inspiration for their own struggles for justice and equality.

Gandhi's ideas have also found resonance in various fields, such as environmental sustainability, economic development, and interfaith dialogue. His emphasis on simplicity, self-reliance, and community-driven solutions has inspired many grassroots movements and social enterprises around the world. Moreover, Gandhi's principles of nonviolence and compassion have become increasingly relevant in today's world, which is plagued by conflicts, injustice, and inequality. As the world faces the challenges of climate change, social unrest, and geopolitical tensions, Gandhi's message of peace, harmony, and cooperation is more important than ever.

In recognition of his contributions to humanity, the United Nations has designated October 2, Gandhi's birth anniversary, as the International Day of Nonviolence. This day serves as a reminder of Gandhi's enduring legacy and his message of nonviolence as a powerful tool for social transformation.

In conclusion, Mahatma Gandhi's ideas and philosophy have transcended time and space to become a global phenomenon. His legacy continues to inspire and guide people from different cultures, countries, and backgrounds, and his message of nonviolence, justice, and compassion remains as relevant today as it was during his lifetime.
